Carey is a former fashion model. She's 5'10" tall and was well-liked by top American designers such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and others. Her father was an eminent geoscientist and was recognized as the Scientist from 1979 by Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was educated all over the planet as a consequence of her father's career. Following her graduation from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began modeling on the side. The idea caught the attention of an agent from Ford Model Agency New York. She moved to France in 1980 and lived for a short time in Paris and Bordeaux before deciding to return to New York to continue with her education at college and build a modeling career. She soon began being featured on the cover of Vogue, Glamour, etc. When she was modeling and continued to pursue her studies in full-time a major in literature within New York University. Then she became interested in acting, and began taking classes with the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. Her first acting experience was in a role with Robin Williams in the 1986 film "Club Paradise. She spends her free time skiing, white-water rafting, windsurfing, and rock climbing.
