
Kristen Anne Bell was born July 18th, 1980."1" She is an American actor and singer. After starting her acting career as a stage actress at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. Later, she starred in the action thriller Spartan (2004). She received praise for her portrayal of Becky Thatcher from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. In the following year she appeared on Broadway in a revival of the Crucible. She reprised the eponymous role in the 2014 film , as well as the reboot in 2019. In the course of her work on Veronica Mars, Bell starred in the role of Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) which was an incarnation of the character she had previously played in the New York musical of the same name.Bell played the role of Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until 2008. Bell played the role of the titular narrator for the teen drama series Gossip Girl. The 2021 sequel will have her reprising this role. Bell was also Showtime comedian House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop, the leading character in the critically acclaimed NBC comedy show The Good Place. She was nominated for an Golden Globe Award. Bell played the character of Eleanor Shellstrop in the streaming show The Woman in the Home across the street from the Girl in the Window.
